TO LIGHT : Hold a lighter at one end of the wick and allow the flame to flow naturally across it. It may take a few seconds to fully light.
PRO TIP #1
To get the most out of your wooden wick candle, always allow the entire top surface of the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the candle before extinguishing the flame. This will keep the candle from tunneling (burning straight down around the wick / leaving wax on the sides of the vessel). Tunneling can drastically reduce the longevity of a candle and can even cause a relatively new candle to self-extinguish repeatedly.
PRO TIP #2
Trim the wick to 1/4” prior to lighting each time. If the flame grows too high or smokes during extended burns, extinguish the flame, let cool then trim the wick back to 1/4”. Remove or discard all trimmings prior to relighting.
Never burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Always burn on a sturdy, level and heat-resistant surface. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Do not burn within reach of children or pets. Ensure lit candles are away from drafts, fans and flammable items. Keep candle free of wick trimmings and debris. Discard candle when only 1/4” of wax is remaining.
